Chocolate 3D printing

I have been always passionate by building and creating things. I remember when I was young, in my vacations; I dedicated my free time creating buildings with recycled material. Back then technology was not so advanced but my inner child never got old. When I first got in touch with the 3D printing technology, it was like a dream made true. 3D printing opens the door to creators to easily build what is your mind, something that as I child I would have taken a lot of advantage.

Therefore, I decided in 2018 to buy my own 3D printer (3Drag) and build models in my spare time. The first goal was to learn about 3D printers and get in touch with the technology, but my long term goal was to play with the food 3d printing, specifically with chocolate. I bought a chocolate extruder but I made some adaptations to the control to improve the extrusion. I have been playing for 4 months and I have learned a lot.

Here I share some photos of the 3D printer and models that I have built with plastic and chocolate. I plan to continue improving the process to reach an affordable (and aesthetic) way to build sellable models.
