Hackathon: For a better drive experience
This Event was organized by CARNET UPC, an research and development organization sponsored by Altran, Seat and UPC-BarcelonaTech. The event took place in the UPC Campus in Barcelona took a weekend (3 days) and the purpose was to develope a innovating idea on how to create a better driver experience using current available technology.
The team was integrated primarly by telecom profiles, one student of robotics and me (mechanical engineer). We started to focus on 2 problems, visibility and entertaiment during trafic and we developed desing thinking strategies to reach an innovating solution. However, our first ideas were too difficult to implement in 2 days so we decide to go for a simpler solution for mirrors adaptation. The idea is to use machine learning and image procesing to adapt the position of the rear mirror to each conductor and also be able to activate the sunshade blocker.

It was a great experience to meet people, to learn about current technologies and put in practice the tools learned about innovation creation.
The best is that we won the "most voted idea"price!
