Grabcad Challenge

As part of a Grabcad Challenge, I was encouraged to design a quick release mechanism that is able to secure a sealed connection, to resist cyclic loads and fulfill other technical requirements explained in the presentation. The following presentation gives more details about this challenge.

Tremors reducer device

Grabcad Challenge

As part of a Grabcad Challenge, I was encouraged to design a device that is able to reduce hand tremors in patients. Hand tremors are involuntary movement of the hand that is common in aged pacients and people that suffers of parkinson. The conceptual idea focuses on reducing vibration amplitudes with flexible and small dampers that are within a hand glove. The following presentation gives more details about this challenge.

Sustainable packaging

Grabcad Challenge

As part of a Grabcad Challenge, I was encouraged to design a packaging system for switches (blue parts in photos) using scrap plastic from a company's manufacturing process. The conceptual idea focuses on minimizing the use of material and reducing parts dimensions in order to make manufacturability cheap. As the was stated in teh challenge scope: "The goal is to use this plastic to mold inner nests of packaging to interlock and protect their sensors while in transit. This will eliminate packaging that requires being purchased from outside the company. The packaging will be produced from injection molding as this is the process that Microtechnologies (the company) possesses within the core capabilities of their company.
